Fresh, ready-to-use scented refills for your scentwork kit.

Our pre-scented refills are designed for beginner scentwork, odour refreshes and easy top-ups for your Ready to Sniff setup. Each refill contains approximately 30 scented cotton buds/Q-tips or slim filters, prepared with your chosen target odour.

Supplied in a 45ml glass jar, heat sealed for freshness, and packed inside a Mylar bag for an extra layer of odour protection.

Choose from:

  • Sweet Birch (Betula lenta)
  • Clove Bud (Syzygium aromaticum)
  • True Anise (Pimpinella anisum)

Gently scented using our jar method

We use a gentle vapour permeation method to prepare our refills. Instead of soaking each cotton bud or filter directly, the scent articles are placed in a glass jar environment and allowed to take up the target odour slowly and evenly.

This gives you a practical, ready-to-use refill with the odour already carefully prepared. Simply use clean tweezers to place your scented article into a tin, close the jar after use, and you are ready to sniff.

How to use

Use clean tweezers to remove one to three scented articles from the jar and place them into your scent tin or hide. Close the refill jar straight away to help preserve the odour.

For beginner pot work, place your scented tin inside the pot, close with the non-vented lid for around 5 minutes to let the odour build, then switch to the vented lid before training.

Dispatch Times

Many of our products are made and assembled in our UK workshop, either in small batches or to order. This allows us to focus on quality, thoughtful design, and durability.

  • Most orders are despatched within 2–3 working days
  • Some handmade or workshop-intensive items may take longer to prepare
  • Where this applies, estimated lead times are stated on the product description

During busy periods, dispatch times may be slightly longer.

If you need an item by a specific date or urgently, please email us before ordering and we'll let you know what's realistically possible.

UK Delivery

We offer a flat-rate delivery service across the UK. Parcels are normally sent using Royal Mail and Parcelforce tracked services, selected according to the size and nature of the items. Other couriers may be used where required.

Delivery costs

  • Small packages (up to 0.5kg): £3.99
  • Medium parcels (over 0.5kg, up to 5kg): £4.99
  • Large parcels (over 5kg): £6.50

Standard delivery is typically 2–4 working days from dispatch, using 48-hour Tracked Royal Mail or Parcelforce for larger items.

Please note that deliveries to certain postcodes — including Northern Ireland, Ireland, the Highlands, and islands — may take longer than mainland UK deliveries.

Tracking & Delivery Updates

Once your order has been dispatched, tracking updates are sent to you by email — please keep an eye on your inbox. Occasionally, tracking information may not update in real time; this does not affect the delivery itself and usually resolves on its own.

Returns

If you wish to return an item purchased from The Sniffer Shop, goods must be unused and returned in their original packaging. Scentwork containers must not have contained any odour.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your items.

If an item is faulty or damaged, please email us with details and a photo of your parcel or items as soon as possible so we can resolve the issue. This does not affect your statutory rights.

International Shipping

We offer international shipping to selected countries. If your country is not currently listed, please email us and we'll do our best to provide a quote.

  • International shipping is charged at a flat rate for most orders
  • Heavier or specialist items may require a different courier or incur additional costs
  • Any additional charges will be confirmed before dispatch

Please note that customs duties or taxes may apply in the destination country and are the responsibility of the recipient.
