We’re Kate and Marcus, the husband-and-wife team behind The Sniffer Shop.
Kate is a scentwork instructor with a head full of ideas. Marcus brings the engineering skills to help make them happen. Together, we design, make and carefully choose equipment that helps you enjoy scentwork with your dog.
Since starting The Sniffer Shop in early 2024, we’ve combined our skills to build a range for everyone from first-time sniffers to experienced scentwork teams.
Many of our products are designed and made by us here in the UK, with our own dogs always happy to lend a snooter.
Many of our designs start with something Kate spots during training: a fiddly setup, a hide that could work better, or an idea worth trying.
Then it’s into the workshop. Together, we work through the design, with Marcus bringing his engineering experience to the materials, fit and finish. Our dogs help us see how it performs in a real search, and we refine it from there.
We want equipment that’s useful, straightforward to handle and made for the job. The sort you reach for regularly, whether you’re setting up in the garden or planning a session for a whole class.
