Delivery Coverage
We deliver throughout the United Kingdom, including Northern Ireland, and also ship to the Channel Islands and the Republic of Ireland.
Shipping to other international destinations is not currently available through our online checkout, but we may be able to arrange delivery by individual quote. Please see the International Shipping section below.
Dispatch Times
Many of our products are made and assembled in our UK workshop, either in small batches or to order. This allows us to focus on quality, thoughtful design and durability.
- Most orders are despatched within 2 - 3 working days
- Some handmade or workshop-intensive items may take longer to prepare
- Where this applies, estimated lead times will be stated on the product description
During particularly busy periods, dispatch times may occasionally be slightly longer.
Delivery times are calculated from the date your order is despatched, not from the date the order is placed.
If you need an item for a course, event or by another specific date, please email us before placing your order and we’ll let you know what is realistically possible.
Unless we have expressly agreed a delivery deadline with you before ordering, carrier delivery dates and tracking estimates should not be treated as guaranteed arrival dates.
UK Delivery
We offer weight-based delivery rates across the UK, including Northern Ireland.
Parcels are normally sent using Royal Mail or Parcelforce tracked services, selected according to the size and nature of the order. We may occasionally use another appropriate courier where required.
Delivery Costs
- Small packages up to 0.5kg: £3.99
- Medium parcels over 0.5kg and under 5kg: £4.99
- Large parcels over 5kg: £6.50
Most standard UK parcels are sent using Royal Mail Tracked 48®.
Royal Mail Tracked 48 is an estimated delivery service rather than a guaranteed 48-hour delivery service. Standard delivery is typically 2–4 working days from dispatch, although parcels may arrive sooner.
Larger orders may be sent using Parcelforce or another suitable tracked courier.
Please be aware that deliveries to Northern Ireland, the Highlands and Islands and some remote postcodes may take a little longer than deliveries to mainland UK addresses.
Channel Islands & Republic of Ireland
We currently ship to the Channel Islands and the Republic of Ireland.
Available delivery options and charges will be shown at checkout where applicable.
Delivery times may be longer than mainland UK services and can vary depending on the destination and local postal service.
Please also be aware that customs, VAT or local handling arrangements may differ from mainland UK deliveries.
Tracking & Delivery
Once your order has been despatched, tracking information will normally be emailed to you. Please keep an eye on your inbox for delivery updates from the carrier.
Tracking information does not always update in real time and estimated delivery dates can occasionally change while a parcel is in transit.
Although we choose reliable tracked delivery services, carrier delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed, unless a guaranteed delivery service has been specifically agreed with us before ordering.
Missed or Unsuccessful Deliveries
If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful because no one is available to receive the parcel, the carrier may automatically attempt delivery again or provide options for redelivery, collection, delivery to a safe place or delivery to a neighbour.
Please follow the instructions provided by the carrier in your tracking information.
Any revised delivery date following an unsuccessful delivery attempt will depend on the carrier's redelivery arrangements.
Returns
We hope you love your order, but if something is not quite right, please email us before sending anything back.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you may normally cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your items. Once you have told us that you wish to cancel, you then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
You may inspect an item in the same way that you reasonably could in a shop. Please take care of products while they are in your possession.
If an item has been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it and its value has been reduced, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund.
Scentwork containers must not have contained any odour if they are being returned following a change of mind.
Where possible, please return items clean, complete and with their original packaging.
Customers are responsible for return postage for change-of-mind returns unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect.
We recommend using a tracked postal service, as we cannot be responsible for returned parcels that do not reach us.
Once your return has arrived and been checked, we will process your refund to the original payment method.
Where you cancel your complete order within your statutory cancellation period, we will also refund the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option originally available for your order. Any additional amount paid for an upgraded or premium delivery service is not refundable.
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different item, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order separately.
If an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, please email us as soon as possible with your order number, details of the issue and a clear photograph of the parcel and/or item so that we can resolve it for you.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
International Shipping
Shipping to international destinations other than the Republic of Ireland and the Channel Islands is not currently available through our online checkout.
If you are outside the UK, Channel Islands or Republic of Ireland and would like to place an order, please email us before ordering with details of the items you would like and your delivery country.
We can then provide an individual shipping quote and confirm whether we are able to ship to your destination.
Please be aware that international orders may be subject to import VAT, customs duties, clearance charges or local handling fees on arrival.
These charges are set by the destination country or local carrier, are not collected by The Sniffer Shop, and are the responsibility of the recipient.
International delivery times vary depending on the destination, customs processing and local postal services.
