For context: neither I nor my 3 year old toy poodle have any done any scentwork training before.
I must confess: I was dubious. How can “red kong” be that special?!
My dog, who’s never had a red kong as they’re far too big for her, was so obsessed with the smell that the first time she got a whiff she didn’t want chicken after she just wanted another go at the tin!!
We’re on day 3 and she loves playing “sniff” and wags her tail the whole time we’re doing training. She asks to play it, and just loves the whole thing.
The tin is small and contains everything you need. Easy to transport, and very accessible for a newbie. I’ve already recommended to friends. I think it’s great enrichment, and on a cold rainy dark winter evening when your princess pup refuses to go for a walk it’s a brilliant way of increasing interest and tiring your dog out.
Who knows… maybe I’ll train her to find my keys!
This is brilliant! Scentwork is the perfect activity for poodles!
Really excited when i opened this and wasnt disappointed!!! Cant wait to get cracking with the new equipment
I have been planning on making my own kit but never seem to find the time so I’m delighted to now have this to practise with at home. I find the lids quite difficult to get off, I thought they would be screw on lids but they are push on. I’m sure I’ll get used to it! I love the orange colour
The pipes are very robust. They are not quite as tall as the ones we use in class but still very good.
